KENNEBEC SAVINGS BANK TO BECOME PART OF THE GARDINER COMMUNITY
William S. Hill, Regional Vice President of Kennebec Savings Bank (KSB) announced today that the Bank has chosen its management team for its new Gardiner branch.
Brent L. Hall, formerly of Savings Bank of Maine in Gardiner, has accepted the position of Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. Tracy L. Plourde, who currently works in the Bank’s main office in Augusta, will become Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager. Both are area residents and grew up in the Gardiner area.
Hall made banking his career immediately following graduation from the University of Maine at Orono with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He brings
17+ years in local banking experience to our new Gardiner branch, from loan servicing and teller operations to credit risk analysis. More recently, Brent’s particular expertise has been in commercial lending, and in the development of new lending relationships. Hall is Past President of the Gardiner Board of Trade, has held positions with Gardiner Main Street and the Kennebec Performing Arts Company (KPAC) and currently volunteers for the Kennebec Valley Humane Society. Brent and his wife, Kim, have one son, Evan, and live in Hallowell.
Plourde has been with Kennebec Savings Bank since 2000, when she was first hired as Assistant Vice President & Loan Processing Officer. In coming to KSB, Tracy brought her branch management experience from Northeast Bank as well as staff management experience from Border Trust. Tracy has been a consumer/residential lender for over 15 years. Tracy is a Gardiner native, and has been an active member in the community. She lives in North Monmouth with her partner, John Farrell, and their children Matthew, Nicholas, Thomas, Danielle and Patrick. They are currently building a new home in Gardiner and are planning to move into their new home in December.
Brent and Tracy will be working together on filling the remaining staff positions for the Gardiner office.
Mark L. Johnston, President & CEO of Kennebec Savings Bank, was very excited about the Bank’s decision to branch into the southern part of the County. “We have been able to secure a top notch management team for this branch, and the response to our other employment positions and to our announcement, in general, has been not only encouraging, but overwhelming,” he said.
Johnston said that all areas of the Bank are working diligently to ensure an opening in Gardiner before year end. He expects to have all employment positions filled within the next two weeks.
Kennebec Savings Bank is a $713 million state-chartered mutual savings bank with a team of 81 employees and branches in Augusta, Waterville, and Winthrop, and two
